Going for a holiday is always a fun thing, but the question is, do you have the stomach to put up with all of the preparations as well as lugging around large pieces of suitcases? The latter can be particularly back-breaking work, but COWA has designed something which seasoned travelers would appreciate. Enter the Rover Speed, touted to be the first AI-powered suitcase in the world that will certainly lift off the weight of dragging your luggage around with you, literally speaking.
Sure, there are other so-called “smart travel” suitcases in the past, but the Rover Speed intends to take a different route. Being different from the rest of the other models that are available in the market, the Rover Speed will offer effortless autonomous control, obstacle avoidance with smartphone tracking and notifications, with your smartphone playing a key role in all of this.
Slated for a January 2019 release, the Rover Speed is available for pre-order already, where this innovative piece of smart luggage knows exactly where you are, while sending alerts to you should it be separated by more than two meters away from you. This makes sure that your belongings will remain secure at all times, without having to worry about keeping one hand occupied. I do admit that it will take some getting used to considering how we are so familiar with the feeling of wheeling one (or even more) piece of luggage with one hand while walking through the airport.
Made from the highest quality materials that are able to withstand the rigorous wear and tear of travel, the Rover Speed is more than equal to meeting the task of cracked sidewalks, taxi trunks, and automated airport baggage handling. There is also an all-aluminum frame that has been built with 100% German Bayer polycarbonate, silent wheels with retraction activators, an ergonomic handle with sensors, and a generous 24-pound load capacity. The smartphone app will function as its remote control, while there is also a flight-approved 6400 mAH removable, rechargeable lithium battery that keeps it powered. It connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth, and the Rover Speed will arrive in Phantom Black and Racing Red shades.
